The Changing Face of Hakka Culture and Villages in Hong Kong: Guided Tour

About the Event

Following the talk, tours to Wang Toi Shan Village in Pat Heung were conducted for two separate groups of participants. Co-organized with the Association for Conservation of Hong Kong Indigenous Languages, Heung Yee Kuk N.T., and Hakka Studies, these tours were guided by Prof LAU Chun-fat. Using his background as a community member and native speaker, Prof LAU provided onsite commentary, connecting the village’s physical landscape with the traditions and of Hong Kong's Hakka people.
