Enhancing English Speaking with AI & Spoken Corpus

This workshop introduced innovative ways to enhance English speaking through the integration of spoken corpus and AI technology. Dr Rebecca Chen and Ms Tian Jingxuan shared insights from the Faculty Knowledge Fund project Corpus & AI English Speaking Teaching Programme 2.0, presenting a sample lesson plan and practical tasks that demonstrate how corpus resources and AI tools can support effective speaking instruction.
Abstract
This sharing is a part of the Faculty Knowledge Fund project (No: 04835), Corpus&AI English speaking teaching programme 2.0: Creating a package for enhancing English speaking instruction with Corpus&AI assistance, led by Dr Rebecca CHEN. In this sharing, we will introduce how to integrate spoken corpus and AI technology in speaking learning and share a Corpus & AI-aided speaking lesson plan and Corpus & AI-aided English speaking learning tasks.
